Speaking of rigged ... when Ryan talked about the three people who were left (Anthony, ?, & Nadia) and said we would find out after the break who the final person was to join the bottom 3, Nadia already had a mike in her lap. Did anyone else notice that? I've never noticed before, but will never be able to watch that show the same way.

I thought the same thing about the mic but I noticed earlier that a few of them had microphones. I think they just have them in case Ryan talks to them. Carrie had one too.
I was totally shocked about Bo in the bottom three. I really thought Scott would go. Or maybe Anthony though he did really well last night. I really like Carrie but she kind of messed up the song last night so I was a little worried for her. Obviously no need.
I love Anwar and Bo and I think Constantine is very charismatic and is getting better each week. Though I really wish they would do something with his hair. LOL
I will miss Nadia...she had a cool vibe.
Okay, I will finally conclude my commentary now. LOL

Why oh why oh why oh why is Scott still there? I don't think I've ever disliked a contestant so thoroughly before. Everything he does and says irks me. "I am the real rocker of this show", "millions of people don't have the guts to do what I'm doing", arrghhh!
And I liked Nadia so much. *sigh*

LMAO!!! I'm guessing you loved the fact that they showed him in bed last night then, eh?! :D
When Bo was in the bottom 3 last night I said to me hubby, "Well, at least if he goes, he can get to work on his album!" :D I totally cannot wait for an album from him!

I agree! I think she has a very powerful voice! Some weeks I didn't care for her performance, but I really think she was brought something different to the show.

Okay, that makes me feel a little better! I just couldn't believe that she was sitting there playing with the mic and then when they came back, she was the one to sing.

I haven't liked Scott's comments either! I actually chuckled because he gave that whole "I am the real rocker" speech and then sang yet another tepid song!
However, *I* feel the same way about Anthony that you feel about Scott. There is no appeal for me and I think his voice is horrible. I can't believe he hasn't even been in the bottom 3 each week!!

Scott shouldn't have even made it into the top 12! I don't understand how he is still there!
Bo being the in the bottom 3 was a disgrace. But sh*t like that happens every year.
In reply to Nadia having a mic in her lap...Vonzell and Anthony had one too.
And just wanted to state that Constantine is my husband so none of you can have him! lol :D

I think that last night he proved he wasn't into it, after he said that it was basically a DARE, I hope that after last night being in the bottom three he gets it together and kicks some major ass :D

Awww..thanks for the comment on my picture. I took it on the balcony of my cousin's beach house in North Carolina. It was a glorious night and just what I needed. I have more of the sunset if you would like to see sometime. Just say so. :D

I don't get the criteria for this season.
I mean they kick out Frenchie for showing her boobs, they kick out that other kid for a past dwi or what have you, but oh you hit a woman you stay in the top 6!
Ugh, that right there made me lose all respect for the show.
That and the fact that they seem to be "casting" types.
The "clay aiken" type, the "ruben" type the "kelly" type, etc.
They did it last season and again this season.

Yeah, I noticed that, and she was already starting to gather up her "dress" or whatever, so she could stand up. Made it look to me, like she already knew. Always wondered if Simon and his company had any veto power over our votes, if things were turning out drastically different from the way he wanted them to. (Not saying I know this to be true, but just wondering...)
And did the band have to prepare a song for everyone, just in case? Or did they know ahead of time, who would be leaving/singing?

Can you, at least, share a little bit? He is so adorable! My husband always harrasses me about him, but I have to remind him that he used to like Scott! Now, he wonders, like we all do, why Scott is still there? I think he must have a big family base out there voting for him.

Well, if they truly are getting 34 million votes a week, I guess they'll keep it around for a while! They also seem to be attracting a lot of advertisers, since the whole show is FULL of commercials!

I really think the Cleveland area is to blame for Scott still being in the competition and I am terribly embarrassed by that.

Ahem. :rolleyes: I am neither a kid nor an Ashlee Simpson type, and I watch it. Not to say that it's perfect, but the basic idea is solid and there are some fun personalities and good voices/performances on there. I mean, how is people voting in for their favorites that much different than people going out and buying music from their favorite artists? The show is a microcosm of the way the music industry works ... labels and critics push their favorites (much like the judges do) but ultimately it's up the voters/buying public to choose whether artists sell well/get lots of votes. As long as there is a music industry out there, I don't see the show losing its popularity.
